Social Tennis

ATC is pleased to announce that the popular Social Tennis Program has been expanded to Mondays and Fridays, starting July 8, 2022, 6:00-9:00 PM; thereafter, the program continues every Monday & Friday, weather permitting.

Adult members of all levels are encouraged to participate in this social & friendly event.  All games will be doubles and arranged by a social coordinator to match the players’ skill levels.  Each game will be ½ hour long, with changeovers on the half-hour (e.g., 6:30, 7:00, 7:30, 8:00, 8:30).  The Club will provide balls.

To run the social event effectively, participants should inform the social coordinator if they want to leave the event before 9:00 PM. This will help the coordinator arrange matches and minimize disruptions to pre-arranged games.

We encourage all adult members to meet other members, make new friends and enjoy some fun tennis.

Annual tennis tournament

We are kicking off the annual ATC Tennis Tournament, one of our most exciting events!. This year, the tournament will start on August 10 and end on the Championship Weekend/Year-end Social on September 24.

The format of the tournament is to play out the draws over a number of weeks, with a round of the draw to be played each week. Each draw will have main and consolation rounds, so 2 matches are guaranteed. The competitors can play their matches at mutually agreeable times on their self-booked courts or on club’s 2 pre-booked courts for the tournament during this entire period.  The draws that we plan to hold this year are as follows:

  • Men’s Singles
  • Men’s Doubles
  • Women’s Singles
  • Women’s Doubles
  • Mixed Doubles
  • Master’s Doubles (55+)

There is no cost to participate to try and win some of the medals and trophies, other than a single can of new tennis balls for each draw. To enter, simply send an email to tournament@agincourttennisclub.ca and let us know:

  1. your name,
  2. your phone number,
  3. your email address, and
  4. the draw(s) that you are interested in playing (for the doubles events please include both partners).

The signup period ends on August 6 and the draws will be posted to begin play on August 10. We look forward to including you in some fun and friendly competition!
