Come and join us for the 2012 annual Winter Social in L’Amoreaux Tennis Centre. This year our head coach, Edward, will run a junior welcome event and adult round robins. The junior registration starts at 5:30 pm and adult registration starts at 7:00 pm. We will also provide food and refreshment for everyone. The cost for the junior is $5 and the adult is $7. Tournament Sign-up Deadline August 20, 2011

This year, the tournament director will be Sam Yeung (and assisted by Dave Ung). As in the past, there will be 5 categories: Men's Singles, Men's Doubles, Ladies' Singles, Ladies' Doubles and Mixed Doubles. If you are interested in taking part in our club tournaments, please sing-up in our club house or contact Dave ung (triadchair@agincourttennisclub.ca).

Tournament Rules & Guidelines

Match play will commence on August 22, 2011.
Players are responsible to contact the opposite team to arrange play date & time. Be punctual. Player will be defaulted if late for 15 minutes. All matches must be played within specified time period on draw sheet otherwise considered as defaults. Results must be recorded on draw sheet posted at club house & also email to triadchair@agincourttennisclub.ca for record keeping. Each team is to bring 1 can of unopened balls. Losing team will take home the opened can.

Players will play a Pro Set. First player(s) to get to 10 games with a margin of 2 games win(s) the match.

Please note for the Ladies Singles & Doubles only, a round robin format will be adopted. Every team will play each other once. The best 2 teams advance to the Finals.

All Championship Final matches will be played on Sept 10, 2011 starting at 6 pm
Finals will best 2 out of 3 sets. If the set is tied at 1 -1, a 10 point Tie Break will be played. No sudden death at deuce.

Balls will be provided for the final matches (Championship & Consolation).
Trophies will be presented at ATC AGM September 24th only. Winners must be presented to receive their awards.

Starting August 1st, we will offer mid-season rate for our membership. All membership types are 50% off the regular price ($35 for adults, $22.50 for Intermediates and $15 for Juniors). Please note that the sponsor of the new members will receive one can of tennis balls for each adult member he/she sponsored.

Our official club opening day is on Saturday May 7, 2011. Join us for a great BBQ and lots of tennis activities. Junior activities will starts at 9 am and Adult activities will starts at noon. Please see the following handout for more details.

Agincourt Tennis Club is proud to announce the appointment of Edward Punzalan to the position of Club Pro and Head Coach. Edward, a USPTR Certified Tennis Professional brings over 15 years of teaching and management experience. Edward's teaching resume runs the entire spectrum from introducing the game and his passion to beginners as well as a history of success developing top ranked juniors at the provincial, national and high school levels. Edward has had equal success in coaching adults of all levels, including Inter-county A, B, and C teams at various clubs such as Bayview Golf and Country Club, Maple Downs Golf and Country Club, Timberlane Athletic Club, and Blackmore Tennis Club. As the Director of Revolution Tennis Academy for the past 3 years at the Rexall Tennis Centre, his creative and innovative tennis programming has kept the programs successful and well-attended. Edward takes great pride in utilizing his knowledge and experience as a Certified Personal Trainer as well as a Strength and Conditioning Coach in his approach to his tennis coaching. Our instructors will work under the leadership of Edward to deliver quality training programs to our club members.

Please come and join us on club opening day, Saturday, May 7, 2011. Edward will be on hand to meet and greet you and answer any inquiries and questions. There will be lots of activities for the kids in the morning and adults in the afternoon – a schedule packed with activities to follow soon.
